St. Teresa’s Arts and Science College, affiliated to the University of Calicut is a prestigious educational institution under the Self –Financing stream managed by CMI.The College since inception has been striving hard to provide quality education for the unprivileged. History

St. Teresa’s Arts and Science College, Mala was started in 1975 by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The propelling force behind this decisive venture was the farsighted visionary Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of the CMI congregation. St. Teresa’s Arts and Science College began as a private institute offering   different UG Courses with 240 students and 14 members on teaching staff. The college was granted affiliation by the University of Calicut in 2013.  The college is registered under the ST. TERESA’S EDUCA-TIONAL AND CHARITABLE TRUST, KOTTAKKAL-MALA (REG. NO.621/IV/SRO, EKM 24-09-2012). Consistent support and ample platforms are extended to students who aspire to excel in academics, sports and arts. Job -oriented add on courses are also provided to mould our students with employable skills that are in tune with emerging challenges of job market.

  • December - 2016 Foundation stone for new administrative block (annex) laid by Rev.Fr. Walter Thelappilly, Provincial, Devamatha Province.
  • 2017 Fr. Shaju Valiyaparambil CMI assumes the role of Manager
  • 2017 August - started B Com.(Finance)Additional Batch
  • September - 2017 Started M Com.
  • March 2018 Inauguration of the new administrative and teaching block
